Maisey (ID: #A103460) is a 2 y/o Female Border Collie, she came to the Stockton Animal Shelter as a stray. She is a medium energy ( 7/10 ) level dog who loves to rough house with the other dogs. Maisey is very fair when playing with the other dogs, she seems very sensitive to when the other dogs are starting to get overwhelmed by the rolling around. Maisey has a high desire to please her people and wants to be in the middle of everything. She does great in public, does good with strangers, walks well on a leash and loves to go for car rides. A few of her favorite things seem to be, siting on the recliner while everyone is watching TV, going out in public, being peted by her people and giving wet willies to dogs and people. Maisey has her shots is spayed and has basic training, she is partially housebroken.

Here's a few pictures I took... I thought you might want to know how she's doing. I took her camping last weekend and she was a little angel. I didn't get a picture of her in the kayak but she went out on the lake with me. She enjoyed that too..among everything else in life. Were in our 4th session of obedience training with a new instructor. He's really good!

Just to let you know, I continue to be very happy with Pepper. She's giving my older dog kisses in her ear. Maybe it's a sign that Pepper wants to take care of her? I'm now a believer for having 2 dogs at a time. They complement each other. Seems like Pepper is taking cues from my older dog on relaxing more, and my older dog is following her lead on being a bit more lively and enjoying life. To help with potty training I bought a crate for her to sleep in. She's now going in on her own & I think she likes it and feels more secure. She's so cute..when playing with her & she was on her back she does sound like a monkey. I remember you said that she makes monkey noises. Actually she makes all kinds of noises. I've been taking her to the park almost every day & this weekend were taking the dogs for a trip to the coast!

Thanks so much for saving Pepper she's such a great dog, it's sad we have so many in our shelters. Any future dogs I adopt will always be rescue dogs.
